Research in visualization, focusing on data storytelling, strives to understand and support such journalistic initiatives. Still, a recent metamorphosis in the journalistic landscape has presented both considerable hurdles and valuable opportunities that stretch beyond the mere conveyance of data. This paper analyzes the reconstruction of high-resolution light field (LF) images from hybrid lens configurations where a high-resolution camera is encircled by multiple low-resolution cameras. The performance of existing approaches is limited by their tendency to generate blurry results in regions with homogeneous textures or introduce distortions near depth discontinuities. To confront this obstacle, we propose a novel, end-to-end learning method, which fully exploits the distinctive characteristics of the input from two simultaneous and complementary standpoints. One module, by learning a deep multidimensional and cross-domain feature representation, performs the regression task for a spatially consistent intermediate estimation. The other module, in turn, propagates the information from the high-resolution view to warp a different intermediate estimation, ensuring preservation of high-frequency textures. Our final high-resolution LF image, achieved through the adaptive use of two intermediate estimations and learned confidence maps, demonstrates excellent results on both plain-textured regions and depth-discontinuous boundaries. Besides, to optimize the performance of our method, trained on simulated hybrid data and applied to real hybrid data collected using a hybrid low-frequency imaging system, we carefully crafted the network architecture and training strategy. The experiments involving both real and simulated hybrid data underscored the remarkable superiority of our method, exceeding current state-of-the-art solutions. From our perspective, this is the first implementation of end-to-end deep learning for LF reconstruction using a real hybrid input. This framework draws upon existing compatibility functions in zero-shot learning (ZSL) without needing any further training. Armed with these statistical figures, we employ a set of class-specific Gaussian distributions for the resolution of the feature generation phase by means of random sampling. We employ an ensemble method to combine a collection of softmax classifiers, each trained using a one-seen-class-out paradigm to achieve a more balanced performance on both known and unknown classes. Neural distillation enables the fusion of the ensemble into a single architecture capable of performing inference in just one forward pass. PiGLET, a novel multi-modal Transformer architecture, is put forward to address the Panoptic Narrative Grounding problem, intending to function as a stepping-stone for future research in this area. We extract the semantic richness of an image using panoptic categories and use segmentations for a precise approach to visual grounding. For establishing ground truth, we develop an algorithm that automatically maps Localized Narratives annotations to defined regions in the panoptic segmentations of the MS COCO dataset. PiGLET attained a score of 632 points in the absolute average recall metric. The MS COCO dataset's Panoptic Narrative Grounding benchmark furnishes PiGLET with rich linguistic details. Consequently, PiGLET achieves a 0.4-point improvement in panoptic quality when compared to its baseline panoptic segmentation model. This paper describes the LGAIL (Lagrangian Generative Adversarial Imitation Learning) algorithm, which learns safe policies from a single expert data set in a way that adapts to different prescribed safety constraints. We bolster GAIL with safety limitations and then loosen it as a free optimization problem via a Lagrange multiplier approach. Explicit safety consideration is enabled by the Lagrange multiplier, which is dynamically adjusted to balance imitation and safety performance during the training process. Solving LGAIL involves a two-step optimization strategy. In the initial phase, a discriminator is fine-tuned to gauge the divergence between the agent's generated data and expert data. In the subsequent phase, forward reinforcement learning, incorporating a Lagrange multiplier to address safety concerns, is used to enhance the likeness.
